This traditional Lakeland home is surrounded by the beauty of the Lake District and South Lakes Furness Peninsulas. Its individually decorated bedrooms have views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. The spacious en suite rooms at Beech Hill House B & B feature a king-size bed, a CD and DVD library, a sewing kit, shoe-shine facilities, tourist information, magazines and books. For guests wishing an earlier, later or breakfast in bed there is a continental breakfast tray in the room. At the foot of the Winster Valley, Beech Hill House is just 8 minutes from the M6 (J36), just off the A590 at Witherslack. The village pub is just 50 yards along the road, serves food and lets dogs in.

Warm welcome and friendliness, nothing too much trouble. We were kindly given an early breakfast as as I was competing in the Great North Swim (by the way, Jenny and Stuart, if you read this, it went really well and the water wasn't too cold at all!) and it was no problem at all for us to bring a take-away back to the B&B the night before; in fact, a table was kindly laid for us to eat it in the conservatory. todos opiniões » This is a very nice place to stay for sure. There are some very nice touches such as the sherry in the room for guests. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The property is within walking distance to an excellent pub in town. We were here for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The couple who own the property also board rescue dogs...the dogs are very friendly too. As mentioned in another recommendation, they allow dogs, but you would not know it. The rooms were . Everything. The owners could not have been more welcoming and explained what we needed to know for a comfortable stay. They truly are pet friendly. Our 4 small dogs were welcomed with a goody box with bowls, treats, towels etc even poo bags! The room was spacious and comfortably furnished. There were 2 glasses of sherry awaiting our arrival. The breakfast was lovely with many options to choose from. I would like to stay there again. Everything! The bed was very comfy, the room spacious and clean with everything you could want, even a small fridge. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts welcoming and friendly. A pub within walking distance serving excellent food means you don't need to drive to get a meal. Good location for lakes and coast. The accommodation was very comfortable and exceptionally clean, our hosts friendly and helpful with excellent knowledge of the area. They also rescue and rehome retired greyhounds which is lovely. I took my two whippets and was provided with dog beds etc. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast is excellent! It is a very minor point and shouldn't discourage anyone from wanting to stay and the overall warmth of the hosts ought to negate that in any event. N/A. I could only stay one night. Dining area cold although extra heating was available. There was nothing to dislike. That I couldnt stay longer. Nothing. Poor shower and bad smell from the farm over the road. Nothing.
