Happy with service and rooms. We were late for breakfast but the hotel still provided us with an excellent service. Convenient location and parking. An hotel not only used as holiday accommodation but also by locals for morning coffee, lunches etc. All staff were very welcoming and friendly especially the young girls who served breakfast and evening meals, nothing was two much trouble for any of the staff. The location is perfect to explore Dunfermline. The hotel is also close to the bus station. It was easy two walk with to heavy suitcases to the bus station and get a connection to the airport in Edinburgh. Most of the staff is nice and I had a cute room with a coombed ceiling over the bed and a refurbished bathroom. The breakfast was very good too.

Quite a difference from the typical inner city European Hotel. They have an excellent Italian Restaurant which the locals seem to love. Even on a Sunday evening we had to wait for a table. Be sure to make a reservation the morning before. Food is excellent at a great price. Breakfast is terrific.

The room size was good and it had the character of a lovely older hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location across from the loch on the edge of a small village was picturesque. 25-30 mins drive from Edinburgh Airport where we flew from.

If you want a quick trip to Edinburgh, but rather not stay there, this hotel is perfect. It is a short train ride over water to the hotel. The Dunfermline QM train station is just behind the hotel with a mere field of sheep between you. It was comfortable and accommodating. They gave us a key to let ourselves in at whatever hour. Owners are friendly and the place is cheap and cheerful. I paid £42, so didn't expect a posh hotel.
Radiator means you can have room as warm as you want.
Bed was really comfy and 2 big pillows although 1 had a plastic cover inside it and made a lot of noise everytime you moved
