I liked the 'period' feel of the place and the rural location, a pleasant change from the usual budget option. The staff were particularly helpful and welcoming. The food in the pub was well above average for pub grub, good value, nice beer, and genuinely helpful staff. I'd give the hotel/pub 5 stars. I was very impressed with the facilities, finding a bath with shower. The staff were lovely, i met about 5 of them and all were helpful, polite and nothing seemed too much trouble. Despite my room faving a pub right outside my window i had no problems with sound and over all had a relaxing stay.
todos opiniões » Arrived late in evening and friendly staff were willing to help in any way they could. We explained we were going to Alton Towers the following day and they supplied us with half price entrance vouchers with free parking. Everything was nice and clean and the seperate buildings was a different aspect, however, not so good when there is snow on the ground. Everything, very helpful friendly staff. Clean, excellent value, perfect position to where we were visiting. 10 out of 10. Convenient to where we wanted to be. The arrangement they have (for food) with the adjoining establishment worked very well. Liked that there was a pub next door and it was like being in a cul de sac with your own front door. Staff were friendly. The reception staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. A very comfortable, well appointed and clean room. Great location and lovely welcoming pub next door, friendly and ideal for one or two night stay. The stable type rooms. The restaurant food. The very helpful/friendly staff. We had booked family room for two adults and two children through a third party web site. The information that two children were traveling with us had not been passed on to the hotel. The two childrens beds had not been made up. The staff were very appologetic and made the beds straight away. Great staff. That the room did not have a walk in shower and for people with disabilities it was not possible for me to climb over the bath side. Nothing. internet connection did not appear to work properly. Could not work out how to use the shower and there was no instruction, even the receptionist found it difficult to get it working. The bed in room 9 is rock hard. Like sleeping on the floor - and I like a hard bed!. Would have liked plain biscuits in room or vending maching.(only chocolate biscuits available in machine) to go with our coffee. I booked a double room I was given a twin bad smell from room next door.woken at 2.25 to smoke alarm being set off. Noisy bathroom. The hassel I had paying the bill after booking through letsbookhotel.com. Why can't they take the payment on the internet booking. They have to have a email consent.
