There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.   The staff were all very amenable. The seting was fantastic - I had been up-graded to a sea view room which was perfect. The service in the bar was good and the meal that we had was very good. The Hotel was well located with fantastic sea views from the room allocated, considering the discounted rate we paid via the website deal.

We want to come back next week! If only! - Fantastic location, really friendly staff. Room was lovely and the decoration was modern, crisp and clean. The breakfast was amazing. There was a huge firework display while we stayed and we sat out the front with big mugs of coffee and had the most fantastic view. Checking out the manager said we could leave our car for as long as we liked and enjoyed our last day. A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location

  Pete and his wife run a very good Budget Hotel. Friendly and with good local knowledge. A very good, Hotel to Town Bus service, saves trying to find a parking place in the Town, for those that like walking it´s about 30-40 mins. along the lovely coast path., to walk the generous Breakfast off. We had a great time at Beechwood and if ever in St Ives again it would be our first choice. Value for Money? Ab - The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met at a B&B. You get a full English Breakfast that is very good as well as fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurt. There is a park across the road for kids to play and the beach is very close. I would take a car or bus to the beach when traveling with small children as the hill is very steep. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Amazing people and very patient with our young children.

  I was with my daughter and granddaughter who is 17months old. Our room was perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and included in the price. If you are looking for a boutique type hotel this is not for you, but I would stay here over any boutique hotel. The setting was magnificent. Even the walk back to the hotel from St Ives up the big hill was not enough to put me off going again. - The hotel was absolutely amazing! So friendly and had a lovely warm welcome and ports of smiles and politeness from all staff. Food was delicious and well presented. Our room was AMAZING, we had a beautiful view of the sea and the room was kept nice and clean everyday by the wonderful cleaning staff. We will be staying again with you in the future! What impressed me most is the fact that whereas many seaside hotels are looking a bit tired, the Pedn Olva has been (to my knowledge at least) renovated twice in the last ten years or so - the more recent earlier this year. The very pleaseant young woman proudly opened the bathroom door and said 'and here is the bath - This hotel is excellent all round. Location in the rocky cliffs with superb views from dinning area, bar and balconies is first class. The breakfast offers a choice for all tastes with lots of fresh fruit, bars snacks are good for a mid day nibble and the evening meal offers a wide variety of well prepared locally sourced food. Lovely small heated pool from which you can see the ocean as you swim. Staff completely helpful and friendly. What is there not to like? It isn't the cheapest in St Ive

The location is perfect. Our room was Suite 6 which is simply the most wonderful room we have ever stayed in; from the views over the harbour to the roll top bath. Angela & Olivier (& Louise) have clearly put so much of themselves into the place, the decor, the ambiance is just perfect. Olivier cooks a mean breakfast just to top it all off & the coffee is delightful. We will certainly return & if you are wondering whether to visit or not..... Go for it!!!
