Thank you all at theie Winter Dene, wish we could have stayed longer..next ti - I had booked a family room and on arrival we were shown both available family rooms and were given the choice of which room we preferred - not something I've experienced before. The room (12) was large, well set up for a family of 1 or 2 adults and 2 children as there is a king size double bed and two singles, with a pannelled wall separating adults from children, whilst still being in the same room. Hotel very clean and comfy for a family break.

  The staff were very welcoming and we were made to feel at home. The location was perfect for our requirements. we would definately use this hotel again on our next visit. It was perfect as a base for visiting son at uni.   My partner and I had a meal in the bar in the evening and it was fantastic, I would recommend the lamb shank followed by sticky toffee pudding, the taste and presentation was something else. If I had to give it a rating then it would be 10/10. The rooms are well laid out with even alarm clock as well as the normal tea/coffee stuff and TV.
