A very last minute decision to take a well deserved break, Blackpool holds so many childhood memories, it's a home away from home. So many choices of accommodation, however traveling alone I wanted to be in a very central hotel offering an atmosphere that wouldn't be daunting whilst being on my own. The balmoral did not disappoint, from check in to check out every member of the team I encountered were attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed. I stopped with my partner for a night I then invited my partners parents and sister to come we loved it. Staff were really friendly and helpful rooms spacious and clean entertainment was good food was amazing your right on the seafront didn't want to leave defunately will be returning for new year.
i like the staff very helpful and friendly, i was on the ground floor and it was great no stairs to walk, and the location was central, good for the shops and beach, our room the bed was so comfortable, and cool and it was very hot outside it was lovely, the breakfast was fresh and plentyful,.
The staff were excellent and any requests were obliged immediately. Having stayed in more "upmarket" hotels the cleanliness was second to none.

Not really a dislike, but our room was a bit on the small side however was only there for the one night.

Our room was a bit shabby we where in room 201.
The room was very small for two adults to share. The shower was quite old and water was only luke warm.
tiny rooms,loose floorboards and holes we fell down,minute shower room that had no control over shower temp,uneven floors throughout,small breakfast not exactly full english,tv didnt work in room had to get it sorted out,one small towel each provided had to ask for xtra towels.
no chairs in rooms and no door hangers for coats plus the rooms need a update decor exc beds where cosy though.
Awful place. VERY tired hotel. Desperately needs a lick of paint minimum. Bedroom battered and worn. Shower room tiny. Carpet dirty. Asked for a decent coffee at breakfast and were told that we would need to pay extra for one ! VERY overpriced. In future will stick with Premier/Travel Lodge. Same price but you know what you will get !!!.
