Great location, beautiful views across the countryside, close to several beaches although a car is essential. Very friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommend for a peaceful time away from the rush of the city. Excellent location for visiting Axminster, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Greg the owner was exceptional with his customer service and manner. The lodge was spotlessly clean. Exceptional value for the area.

It was set in a very quiet location with excellent views of fields from the living room, also it was very clean and tidy with friendly and welcoming host. Great accommodation, very cosy, bright and modern décor, fantastic location and views and really lovely hosts. Self contained apartment, very comfortable and well equipped . Quiet with lovely views. We really enjoyed the farming location but there is not that much to do in Axminster. There are more interesting areas nearby that are easy to reach from Shepherds Knapp. Clean and comfortable Nice decor Spacious Leaflets of area very detailed. Purely because we weren't expecting it - The fact it was on the road at the end of the owners driveway. Hot water tap is super hot for little hands - maybe a notice could be put up?. We were disappointed the wifi did not work although it featured in the description. The cooking facilities were a portable two hob hotplate and a small combined microwave/convection oven. There were no obvious microwave dishes. The image and sound were out of synch on the TV. The lane has no house numbers so more detailed information would be helpful. Nothing really at all although Maybe it might be better sign posted as we went passed it a few times trying to find it but I'm being a bit picky. The bed was a little uncomfortable. Good base for seeing the area but very busy junction to negotiate before going anywhere . Not easy to find more directions would be helpful. Nothing!. can only microwave. very dark road. The double bed was very uncomfortable so we moved to the twin beds in the second bedroom & they were much more comfortable. Hard to find and at night not sign posted well enough No cooker-if not overnight stay difficult with family Full English changed to continental as hosts away.
