As an author who treks around the Mediterranean Sea for a living and writes travel narratives about it (www.idiotandodyssey.com), I know what I require/like in a hotel: sea view, wi-fi, decent location, excellent Turkish breakfast, cleverly folded towels, a pleasant and helpful staff and a backpacker's price. The Akpinar has all these features and is only steps from the ferries, buses and town center. I gladly left a tip.

It is also very close to the main bus station and a small shuttle station to take you to nearby beaches. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to stay here for a cheaper Cesme option. The staff were very friendly. We were able to keep our bags there all day while we took a day trip to Chios (Sakız Adası) and they helped us reserve a bus to Izmir. The breakfast buffet was very good. The room had a nice view from the balcony, was clean, safe, and had comfortable beds. It is in a great location, you get right off the bus down by the pier and it is right across the street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and we had a great view from our balcony. The breakfast was simple but nice. very good location: 10 minutes walking from city-center, 5 minutes walking from bus-station, 5 minutes walking from ferry-terminal, 2 minutes from marina. very very very friendly staff. Great position near the ferry port and the old town. Manager gave us breakfast early so we could get to the ferry to Chios, good breakfast too. It was really not a hotel, everything was poor. Their cats. The room was pretty small and the bathroom even smaller, with basically a non-existant shower. For the price, I can't really complain. The doors for the patios were broken in two different rooms that we looked at but the second room we moved to was higher up so seemed a little safer. We didnt have any problems during the night. room a bit small to accomodate 2 persons, but not really a problem. There is nothing to complain. Traffic noise because it's on a busy corner. refrigerator was broken. The room smell of smoke . Smoking should be ban in room due to smelling. All rooms get to be nonsmoking. Street view Room was a little bit noisy, but no big deal. Far from the beaches. Shower space is too small. The room was too small for 4 people. No minibar. An inadequate price for the existing facilities, way too expensive. The hotel is located across the street from the harbor with many restaurants. At 9 pm there was extremely loud music from 2 restaurants/bars just across the street that went on until very early in the morning. Sleep was impossible. not clean everytime no fridge or drinking water in the rooms. The staff checking us in was not very friendly. No bedsheets!!!!. there was a problem with the bathroom and they did not help us in 4 days. Ceiling was dropping to us!!!! The room was for 4 people, it was so small although we were 3! everything was terrible.terrible...
