The facilities, room and situation are unbeatable. Overlooks east to the
Spanish (Hondaribbia) and French (Hendaye) towns. The owner / host
is a young enthusiastic, energetic, charming and helpful man...
Etc...this is a fantastic place to stay and explore the intriquing
Basque area. It is a bit hard to find. Set the sat nav to find the (also
excellent) 'Arroka berri' restaurant. Keep going up the hill and

Really beautiful and comfortable palace with the surrounding countryside providing the perfect setting. Only 30mins drive to San Sebastián. 45 mins to Bilboa. Everything was just great. Not hard to find as we put the town location into the Gps and there were signs from the town intersection to the hotel. Hotel also provided us with plenty of info

Beautifully appointed and decorated hotel. Fabulous large bedroom. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful.
Restaurant is outstanding. The chef - a charming guy - likes to meet his guests and talk about his dishes and the way he prepares them. The "black" fillet steak is brilliant!!
All highly recommended.

Fabulous town, wonderful food, Hotel is built on a narrow ridge above the bay where you can watch the surfers from your room with a floor to ceiling glass wall. We chose the old style room with wooden shutters looking north with our own balcony and view of red tile roofs, the church bell tower and the ocean in the back ground. Just wonderful!!!! This is a superior hotel and staff; just sorry we were not staying much longer.

Ignacio and his wonderful "team" was a credit to this small friendly hotel,nothing was to much trouble,they looked after us splendidly ,even providing a superb meal,even though the restaurant was closed ( we arrived very late after driving 800 k!)

A perfect hotel, especially when travelling between Spain and France a very good solution.
Very good room, completely upgraded, good beds, clean bathroom, perfect shower.
Next morning we took a breakfast. Lot of choice, everything fresh and looked great.
We travel a lot and this is a hotel to remember for the next time!

Irenaz resort was located on the edge of a beautiful green valley that
was so relaxing. There was often music traveling up from somewhere on
the mountain and it made us really feel like we were in Europe. The
location is a bit out of San seb city but the bus stop is 100metres down
the road and for 1.60 euro takes you 11-15 minutes to get into town

The apartments were very modern and private, overlooking the valley on the outskirts of San Sebastián. We specifically chose the location because we had a car we didn't want to use in the city and parking was free. The apartments were close to a bus stop with regular buses taking about 15 minutes to reach the centre of the city. The reception staff were very helpful in assisting us with a damage report we needed to fax to the leasing company.

quarter of the town. Although Hondarribia itself is a bit upmarket
touristy and busy (mainly Spanish tourists - very few Brits!) this part

Excellent experience at Hotel Palacete for a young couple in search of comfortable hotel accommodations for a week of hiking adventures and exploration. Front desk attendant was multilingual and was very helpful during our stay to connect us with local entertainment options and transportation. Hotel location was perfect for our needs - not in busy San Sebastian but a short bus ride away, with plenty available in Hondarribia and a convenient 5-minute ferry to Hendaye, Aquitaine, FR.

Superb value for money, a 2 minute walk from a beautiful beach surrounded by mountains in a small bay. The staff were really very helpful. They sorted out my diet, helped us to book train tickets on line, helped to sort out the aftermath of a minor accident, were always very friendly...in short wonderful. The hotel was clean and modern, the room was good and comfortable, the breakfast was good- all in all very good value and highly recoemended.
