Ramon and Lydia made us soooo welcome. We were their first ever guests from Africa so we communicated mostly using google translate on computer. The specially prepared dinner was delicious (must be booked in advance) and had homemade cake with breakfast. The 1827 house was renovated by the owners, and Lydia restored the spotlessly polished antique furniture. The basement housed a cool wine cellar, and Ramon let us try his home-made lemon liquor. The bedroom was most comfortable and one could also relax in the lounge where reading material in Spanish was provided. One or two English tourist guides would be welcome. Meals were delicious - we appreciated sampling 'real' Spanish food. If you intend to arrive late and want dinner, be sure to order beforehand. The hosts also provide guided walks and caving trips at very reasonable prices. This country home is beautifully decorated d lovingly cared for by a wonderful and welcoming couple who go out of their way to make your stay special. If you want to escape from it all this is the place to be. The charming and friendly welcome from Ramona and Lydia. A traditional village house beautifully decorated to extremely high standards. The excellent meals were served with passion and pride. A true pearl between Barcelona and Port Aventura. Outstanding charm and hospitality. The attention to detail is lovely. There's even a little wine cellar. Would happily return. Nice country style furniture, quiet place, personal reception by the owners, private dinner with local food, good starting point for visiting monastries and vineries. It is a very clean place. Albiñana was difficult to find and once there Cal Ganso was not easily found. A few signposts would help and probably be welcomed by the locals who must be harassed by lost guests! Don't expect to find entertainment in the village at night. There is nothing that you can do in the village. I little too structured for my taste. They have a specific time for quiet time, breakfast, dinner, etc..Access to parking is limited. Nothing. Difficult to find, no clear instructions at time of booking. The house is next to the main road whereas we thought it would be in a more rural setting. Parking is awkward for motorcycles, however don't let that put anyone off just be prepared. poor English, but it's not a big problem only cash small room, but for 2 person is ok.
