  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained.   We simply loved this place, everything about it. Great rooms, they smell so nice and fresh :-) nice facilities, beautiful garden. Cathy and John are excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Gave us great restaurant tips and we could just listen to John's storries all day long. We didn't want to leave. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area. The hotel gets a 10/10 from me and i really got value
