Klostergården lies in the middle of Trondheimsfjord on the island of Tautra, famous for its historic monastery and many bird watching opportunities. The former farm also has an on-site restaurant, café and small brewery. The individually designed bedrooms at Klostergården have views over the gardens and the restaurant’s courtyard terrace. Wi-Fi access is free and rooms are spread throughout the farm’s buildings with shared bathroom facilities. A home-made breakfast is served each morning, and the property has its own farm shop where regional produce can be purchased as well as Klostergården’s own beers. There is also a lounge room with a TV for relaxation. The island is connected to the mainland by a causeway, and the city of Trondheim is 80 km away.

It's an incredible place. On a remote island in the Trondheim fjord, this beautiful hosts make you feel in paradise. We were welcomed like friends and wanted to stay longer. The surroundings are just amazing - pure nature and yet easy to reach this island via bridge. The food is fantastic, and in the shop, they sell local products. The owners were really welcoming. Even though we arrived at 1130pm, almost 2h late, they were kind enough to prepare us a warm dinner. Appreciate they've an early start and was grateful they stayed awake and made us a meal even! The owner's son brews beer on site and we really enjoyed his handcrafted beers. A real treat!.
