Situated on 45 hectares, Nightingale Falls Farm Stay Retreat features stunning patio views over the Firth of Thames and the Coromandal mountain ranges. The property is home to many horses, lambs, pigs and chickens.
Join the property’s hosts each morning to feed the farm animals or assist with milking the goat. You can also learn how to care for the horses or smaller ponies. There are several hiking and walking tracks in and around the property.
Accommodation options include cottages with a fully equipped kitchen or a fireplace. All cottages offer luxurious bedding, electric blankets and fluffy bath towels.
Guests can relax in the communal lounge area which offers a 3D TV. An outdoor meal can be shared using the BBQ facilities.
This unique property is located deep in the hills overlooking Tararu Bay, which is 8 minutes’ drive away. It is 12 minutes’ drive from Thames and 90 minutes’ drive from Auckland Airport.

C'était tout simplement fabuleux, à ne pas manquer. Des gens adorables, très accueillants, authentiques avec un sens du partage comme on n'en fait plus...Un vrai paradis....
It's just a place to be. My kids 13,11 and 8 years old just adore the place and had a great fun with the Martins kids whom are adorable and very helpful, the horses and the Three dogs are very funny. The Farm tour was just wonderful. It was difficult for us to leave the place. We will come back for sure next year. todos opiniões »
This was so much more than I imagined. We felt as if we belonged there and had been friends with the Martin family forever. This was the most refreshing, serene, country, get away that anyone could imagine. We originally booked one night and expanded to two nights before we arrived, do to excitement. After two nights stay we asked if we could stay for a third night because we did not want to go.
Great hosts Scott, Karyn and kids, beautiful location, perfect to relax or participate in Farm life. We stayed here in a total of 6 nights over 2 stays and we will surely be back for more. Nightingale Falls Farm Stay Retreat and its hosts have a special place in our hearts! Highly recommended.
The kindness and friendliness at any request we made....was incredible!! They looked after us and me as I faced a circumstance that was difficult & traumatic in many ways,embracing the whole family in its diversity.

The views were breathtaking. It was a very relaxing. Both Scott and
Karyn were very gracious hosts and made our stay very comfortable.
Enjoyed the walk around the paddock, patting the animals and being so
close to nature.
Beautiful landscape. Quaint but comfortable accommodation. Slept like a log. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. Very friendly and gracious hosts. Recommend if you want something different for a night or two.
The welcoming atmosphere and the incredible accommodation. The hosts could not have been more helpful and the view can't be beat.
Relaxing, back to nature but with all of the creature comforts.
The beauty was stunning, the atmosphere was so welcoming and nice, very unique and worth the travel. Food was outstanding, Scott and Karyn were the best!.

I did not like the fact that we eventually had to leave, and I had to go back to work. This is the ONLY thing I did not like and was not due to the Martins, but just the predestined fact of life.

That we had to leave. It' was our first break in years & so relaxing!!! We love Karyn, Scott and their family!! Nothing to not like!!!.
A little away from the City, so one must remember to get all your food
along. In case one forgets something important then you will
inconvenience the hosts as they will have to drive you down to your
vehicle at the main gates which is around 1.5kms from the cottages.
We hated to leave.
Hard to get to.
The fact that we had to leave and go back to our lives.
Would have been nice to have net curtains to enable enjoying the views and relaxation early morning without being on view to everyone outside.
Would have benefitted from a mini fridge to have some milk to enable drinks when needed without going into hosts's kitchen (milk goes off almost immediately).
I wasn't warm enough the first nite and had a problem with the hot water not working.The difficulty of access only being by 4 wheel drive.
