Everything you need for a layover at the airport...Shower, tv, coffe and tea pot and close to restaurants. You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. Look for signs for the Rijk museum and then you will see signs for the mercure hotel. -

The room is spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The free wireless internet is the smart thing to do for business travelers - no extra charges, no complicated registration, and everything works. - It was nice that shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body milk were supplied. As there were nine of us, the staff gave us a meeting room in which to change clothes, and the use of a bathroom to wash up, as we were headed to Amsterdam for the day. 3 night stay - Hotel located very close to Metro line - station can be seen from the hotel - so if you are travelling by car, just leave it at the hotel and travel by public transport to the city center. Parking is free from Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 9 a.m. After that it is Euro 1.50 for an hour or Euro 9.00 I believe for the day.

The hotel is at 3-5 minutes walk from Metro Station(Station Zuid) and Train Station(Amsterdam zuid), so you will get very fast to the Airport(10 min) and to the city center(20 min)
The rooms are very nice and comfortable.
The hotel is placed in a business zone, so it is very quiet and spacious .
You have lots of places to have breakfast at the metro station, don't buy the hotel one that it is very expensive(23 euro/person). Also, at the hotel you have free coffe/tea maker in the room.

Very easy to use hotel.
Self serve check in when you get there (a bank of about five computers), so you aren't waiting for a person to take care of you. Someone is nearby for the technically challenged.
The rooms are what I would call "pods". Small rooms with everything compact and easy to reach. The photos online tell the story.

This is one of top three hotels I have ever stayed in (and there were some!), but I cannot remember the other two :). Giving this hotel a 10 would mean that the other few I rated as 10 should now be re-rated to 8. :)
Everything was great. The technical stuff in the room, funny saying everywhere, some might find "self-check-in" a bother, but I liked a new experience and there was always extremely polite and friendly staff around to help.
All in all - 7min walk from Amsterdam Zuid train station.

I loved the location, private bathroom and room size. It was walking distance to the museums, public transportation to the airport and other areas was around the corner from the hotel. The rooms were clean, bathrooms as well, cable television and heating.
