The town was a quiet quiet place as it was off-season at the end of May and middle of the week. The staff, esp. Kato-san was sweet and friendly. Even with limited English, she could convey her meaning clearly. The food was plentiful and the tamago gohan -rice cooked with egg whote- was really delicious! The Japanese room was quiet and spacious with comfy futon, but the best is the onsen itself with an indoor and outdoor pool. Small and cosy, and we had it for ourselves. The manager of the hote -
We had a lovely stay here! Especially because of the very friendly
couple running the place. The lady spoke good English and was happy to
discuss Japanese culture with us. She also arranged Western style
breakfast for us our 2nd morning. The Japanese breakfast was, however,
also really nice. Japanese style room which was spacious and clean,
comfortable futon. The in-house onsen was one of the best we tried in
Japan, especially the cozy outdoor pool. Good location near several
other Onsen.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hotspring baths were lovely esp the open air public bath with such beautiful scenery. The rooms were large and lovely, service was good. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. We are really glad we made a stop here. It was very comfortable and relaxing.
