We received a warm welcome from the reception staff. Some spoke better English than others, but my basic Japanese also helped and I appreciated their patience. The room was a good size and comfortable. Like the rest of the country as a rule, the hotel was very clean. For a modest price we had a decent breakfast. Location was very central, but not as close to the station as expected. The hotel appears a little old fashion and in need of renovation. There were 2 restaurants advertised on the premises, but they didn't open despite being a very busy week-end with a traditional festival on. There were a few restaurants nearby serving good food. Location was a bit further away from the station than expected.
