  I like the fact that when we had some last minute change of plans, the receptionist helped us instantly in cancelling the last night of our stay (we stayed for 5 nights) as we opted to go to another city for our last 2 days.   This hotel is very close to JR Nara station which makes it quite useful if you're doing a lot of travel out of Nara, and it's not too far a walk to the other train station in Nara. It's also very budget friendly and the staff are nice.   An extremely well-designed (but small and compact) hotel. Very friendly staff - knowledgeable and helpful and really kind. We've stayed in 4 hotels over the past 10 days in Japan and this is easily the best; much better than the place we stayed in Kyoto for 1.5 times the price. The wifi was good and reliable, and they also had desktops and printers available in the common room, as well as free reading material, tea and coffee facilities, maps and a kitchen. It's really close to the station - within walking distance, even with large and heavy suitcases. The staff there were what really made our stay
