Very friendly staff who picked me up at the nearest station. Dinner was excellent.
The lovely couple who run this place were extremely hospitable with cute breakfast included in the room. The room is a very basic set up - more like a private backpacker room than a hotel as you use a share toilet inside and the showering facilities are in a private room down a quant garden path. Only shared bathroom.
We suspect due to the isolated location accom rates are higher than other areas we went to. Very dated rooms.
Reasons for not recommending this to others is purely price vs value for money - but in saying this, it is much cheaper than you pay up the mountain at the onsen village which is only 45min away.
