The house was amazing, very well decorated and with amazing garden. The couple that runs Keira was very nice and made an effort for everything to be in our liking. The room had all the facilities necessary, was very clean and confortable. -

the place is very nice, up on the mountain, fresh air and wonderful surrounding. Family that works there are such a nice people. They always run around and makes you feel like at home. Mother prepares dinner, you sit all together with other tourists, share, enjoy delicious food, wine and have a nice long talking evening with son Marco. Its a simple, cozy place that i never saw before and always would like to come back!

The food was amazing! And the surrounding views of the mountains and countryside breathtaking. The location was remote but even if you don't travel here by car the staff are always at hand to help you with arrangements for local excursions.

Our host Antonello could not have been kinder or more thoughtful. He gave us a conducted tour of the city by car and regularly produced intineraries for our trips out. The breakfast was excellent. The bedroom was comfortable and drinks were availablle from a fridge in the room at very reasonable prices.
The house contained fascinating memorabilia and we had use of the courtyard when we wanted it.

We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. My girlfriend and I spent several days staying here in September 2013.
As many others have said, Alessandro and Monica are wonderfully hospitable and helpful.
To put this into context, down the years I have travelled to well over 100 countries, staying in all manner of accommodation from 5* hotels to backpacker hostels. I have been to Italy alone around 15 times. And in all that time worldwide, I cannot think of better, kinder hosts.

Il Sogno is in a stunning location, very peaceful, with lovely accommodation and a beautiful pool area. Alessandro is a mine of information and will advise on the best beaches and places to eat - and his wife will bake you the most beautiful cake and bread! Wonderful hosts and wonderful location, what more could you ask for!! I would recommend to anybody looking for a beautiful retreat in the countryside with a quick car journey into Alghero town.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Asfodeli. Starting with the staff who went out of their way to assist, secondly the rooms and facilities including the pool are beautiful. Thirdly, we explored the local area by bike which we rented from the hotel and were offered itineraries and delicious packed lunches.
