  I stayed at Hotel Desiderio for nine nights and I loved it. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The bed is perfect and the sheets are very clean. The location is perfect because the train station is right there not even two minutes walk.   Staff was the most helpful and friendly of all the hotels we stayed at in Italy. Took time to type out directions into the city for us and highlite everything on our map. Accomodations were great and very clean. - In the center of the city, not far away from train and bus station. The personnel is very friendly, room is clean and quite big.

  The staff were so knowledgeable about how to get around the city in the cheapest way and most practical way. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff speaks English! They answered any questions we had about transportation and sold us tickets for the city bus (which can't always be purchased on-board). Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast-style, but ingredients were fresh.

I have stayed there 5 times over the last 5 years, and appreciate the unique and lush appearance of the hotel, but if you are into large spaces and cont - Our host Roberto, his wife and the staff were welcoming and took extra care of our needs. We booked two single rooms and sometimes in the past we have been allocated tiny, substandard rooms. The rooms at the Celio were charming, clean and the location between the Colosseo and Laterano was fabulous. This was the first time we have ventured out of the Trevi/Tritone area. (We go to Rome each year over past 15 years and this experience was one of our most enjoyable. Grazie Roberto!!
