The staff were exceptional, especially Giovanni who collected our hire car on the morning we were leaving as the garage did not open until after we wanted to leave. Giovanni - We stayed 6 nights in Maison Tofani which is a great little hotel in the historical centre of Sorrento, decorated in the best Italian style. We had a large room with a big bed, a sofa and armchairs, a bathroom with shower - and free wifi! The room overlooked the narrow shopping street. We had a small table and two chairs on the minute balcony where we could watch the world go by. The windows were well insulated as we weren't disturbed by noise. We would recommend finding out the shuttle or bus schedule prior to arrival in Sorrento since the taxis to the hotel are pricey (Euro 50).

  Villa Degli Dei is located in gorgeous Nocelle, overlooking Positano. The village has a lovely restaurant nearby and a great pizzeria and deli close to the bus stop. Its located at the beginning of the Walk of the Gods. Driving up here is not for the faint hearted though! A great benefit is having the use of the carpark and pool at the hotel roc eden in positano (the hotel where you go to check in). - Nocelle is a very nice quiet town, location is perfect to hike 'the path of the gods' between Positano and Praiano. The apartment is very spacious with a great shower&tub. There is a large (shared) terras with a view over the coast and positano with great sunsets.

  Excellent staff!! They were very helpful and friendly, all of them spoke English and they were always smiling. The hotel was clean, the restaurant was very nice. The terrace of the restaurant, where you can have your breakfast and dinner had wonderful view of the sea and the sunset. The staff, in particular, Catello, could not do enough for us and drove us to the Train station for free on our departure. Really liked this hotel and excellent value for money.
