I went to Palermo for business and I found Casa Mo from letsbookhotel.com and stayed there for 8 nights.
This place is fantastic! It says bed and breakfast in the title but the quality of service that is offering is easily comparable to some of the very good hotels I have stayed in the past!! It is a converted old house with excellent decoration.

Beautiful apartment in an old palaccio, decorated in style - all as you see on the picture.
Ceilings are great and that’s something which makes this place special and contributes to your perception of Palermo.
Very clean, good breakfast, fair internet connection (better in lobby than in the room).

It was exactly what it showed and said on the internet, which is a refreshing experience. I loved the room's furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied. The location is excellent to do sighseeeing. Several restaurants nearby. What more to ask for. -

We used the shuttle service to get from the airport to the Residenza which suited us well. The place was very clean and modern. The bathroom for the room is not actually connected to the room but across the hall. This isn't a big deal as there are only about 4 rooms in the hall. The minibar is cheap and well stocked. Spotlessly clean large comfortable room with nice furniture. Lovely, helpful owners. It is a very short walk to some good restaurants and bars, you may have to book, quite busy. Great location - you can easy get to the port, the restaurants, the markets, the botanical garden and all historical sites. The room was clean and spacious, airconditioning worked well. This hotel has been beautifully architected within a historically
important building. We stayed 4 nights and the staff were very helpful,
and were particularly obliging when we wanted to change our room
(personal reasons) - they really wanted to ensure that we were happy.
Breakfasts were excellent. Location is also excellent with ease of
access to the historical sites.
