The family-run Stella Maris Bed and Breakfast is 150 metres from the beach in Lido di Ostia and a 15-minute drive from Fiumicino Airport. Its modern-style rooms have air conditioning and private or shared bathroom. Set on the first floor of a building, the bed and breakfast is 800 metres from the marina and a 20-minute walk from Lido di Ostia Metro Station, linking with central Rome in around 20 minutes. A simple Italian breakfast is served in the breakfast room, and guests can also relax in the common lounge with TV, sofa and sea views. Wi-Fi is free. Free private parking is available for motorcycles.

We urgently needed a place to stay in Ostia, but unfortunately there was a Harley-Davidson festival on our targeted dates (June, 2013), so finding a good accommodation seemed impossible. Eventually Stella Maris had popped up out of the blue, so I booked it, it was kind of a take-it or leave-it situation. I couldn't have decided better. The owners were friendly, both of them spoke English well, so there were no language barriers. They were flexible on check-ins and check-outs; prior to our arriv.
todos opiniões » Me and my friend spent 6 nights in the Stella Maris and we're really in love with this place. Everything was great: nice cozy rooms, very clean ones as well as the bathroom. The breakfast would satisfy any taste, I suppose. An excellent location let you enjoy your days while lying on the beach and at the same time you can easily reach the center of Rome. And, what is more important I believe, in the Stella Maris you will find this magnificent atmosphere of home comfort created by the owner Il. Perfect location at the seaside. Beautiful beach and beachwalk with nice areas and restaurants. It took about 30 minutes to get into the city centre of Rome but it was very easy with the bus and metro. The place was very clean and we had a nice big room with access to a common living room and balcony. Friendly and very helpful staff which made us feel at home from the moment we checked in. Our stay in Rome could not have been better and I highly recommend this B&B to everyone!. A very pleasant surprise. All rooms were perfectly clean and very nicely furnished, very comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly rich and very tasty. The lady that operates Stella was the best thing of all - always willing to help us with anything. The place is also very close to the beach (about 200m). I'd definitely recommend staying here for bed and breakfast, the accomodation was just superb. Ilaria and her husband are great! It is a hostel in building on first floor.There are few rooms.We had room with terrace and the bathroom was near room.Breakfast is sweet,few cookies,cakes,juice,cofee,milk...It is nice for young people.Staff is friendly and speeks English. There may be some noise from other guests. There was no place to eat anywhere near. In summer there is a restaurant open in the marina, a long but pleasant walk down the esplanade from the B&B; but it was closed in May, and there was not even a bar nearby. It is not luxury hotel.It is hostel for young people,travelers...Nice. Noisy, quite loud due to cars going around the B&B beginning from early mornirng (5am). Recommend to exchange the windows. Overdue yogurts at the breakfast. But cons do not cover positive memories that we will have from there. Everything is Ikea. There are a lot of stylish and functional items in Ikea,but if basically everythin everything is from there without any selectivity, the atmosphere is quite bleak. The quality of the duvet was dreadful. Luckily you don't need one in summer.
