  When we arrived, we had the pleasant surprise to get an upgrade from a normal room to a studio (with kitchenette). The room is very comfortable and spacious enough.. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and nice (though we arrived at about 11am, our room was ready). The neighborhood is safe, lively - The lady welcoming us was wonderful catered for all our needs which was sadly only one overnight stay .We had our son with us who unfortunately had broken his leg 5 days beofre and in cast on crutchesno lift was a challenge but we coped and enjoyed the stay in our neat room .Supplied coffee facilities and personal key to get back in for Ah energency .Would recommend the view to coloseumwas awesome other sites wallking distance and we were given good tips for transport and resturants BelFredDrew

  I adored this hotel. From the moment we booked we received conformation emails from the owners, and then nearer the time, further emails to check if we required a taxi -- which we did and everything was booked and made simple for us. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room was pretty classic, it won't blow your mind but lets be honest -- if you're - The staff at Locanda Colossea was excellent. They were extremely helpful, and it was great to actually have someone at the front desk during the day. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff even gave us a bottle of wine from the family vineyard (which was a very good wine!). The location was also very good, just minutes from the Colosseum and the Forum. The breakfast was served at a cafe two doors down, and there were several choices including eggs. I surely recommend this place to stay in while visiting Rome. - We booked in here on the recommendation of friends we made in Sorento and we were not disappointed at all. Leonardo was so helpful, when we were at the wrong address, he came and "rescued" us. The room was lovely, beautifully renovated space,fabulous bath. A bottle of wine and slippers to greet us, what a great recommendation. Thanks Charlotte and Mark!!!!!!
