I'm sad to say we were only at Agriturismo I Poggi one night, we wish our stay would have been longer! From the moment we arrived, to the time we left, the staff helped us with anything we needed, and spoke English very well. The two bedroom apartment had plenty of room, and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment to make our meals. I also can not say enough good things about the olive oil and wine produced on the property. It was delicious! We were able to enjoy a bottle near the pool area.
todos opiniões » There was lots of room. There were two bedrooms. One had a double bed and one had a set of twins. There were cupboards to hang clothes;. The kitchen was well equipped with a big fridge, sink, dishes and cooking utensils.The parking was behind a locked gate at night, and once past the house and store, there was plenty of parking. The tourist bureau was helpful, and the food at Bellavista Restaurant was excellent. There is a Saturday market in the town of Impruneta. We loved the atmosphere of the old countryside house, the kitchen with the huge fireplace where we cooked our meals, the very friendly and cheerful owners, the surrounding landscape (though it was raining during the weekend and could not fully exploit it), the vicinity to the "strada del Chianti". The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was fabulous and the view over the hills is amazing. The pool would be lovely in summer and the owners could not be more helpful! I would have no hesitation in recommending. beautiful place; lots of room; beautiful swimming pool, though it was too cold to use it when we went; gorgeous, gorgeous views from back common areas; actually cooked in kitchen 2 of 3 nights; exceptionally comfortable. Beautiful setting in the Tuscan countryside. Covered parking for 3 or 4 motorcycles. Spacious accommodation. Very spacious for family with great kitchen facilities...a comfy sofa...hot water....owner was generous..a home away from home!!!. The hosts Giovanni and Julio were fantastic. Location, comfort, pool, views were 5*!! We will definately return and recommend!. The apartment was clean and in a beautiful part of Tuscany. The owner was helpful. Florence is a 10 minute drive away. Rural location that was fantastic - great view over a valley with olive orchards and vineyards. The property is close to impruneta where grocies can be purchased. There is a lovely pool and it is all nice and quiet. Even though there was no Italian experience offered and the place is run down - we still really enjoyed our stay here - I guess due to being amongst the beautiful Tuscan country side. This is an excellent central point to explore Tuscany. With a car, we had visited Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Firenze for sure. Also famous 'Chianti road' #222 is very close. When You are tired of going somewhere, You can relax near the swimming pool, use BBQ, looking at breathtaking Tuscany countryside - the view is really amazing! The owners sell very good wine of the same name 'I Poggi'. Countryside location. Helpful owners, they fetch us from the bus station in Tavarnuzze. The address on letsbookhotel.com was misleading.. The main house at Via Impruneta 77 is actually in Bagnolo, not Impruneta. This confused our gps. Also, there are two Via Imprunetas. Poggi is located on the road to Tavanerazzi. We drove past Poggi on our way to Impruneta proper, but missed it because of a very small sign. The business at the local products store also made parking a little tricky. Anyone who stays there should bring dish soap and paper towels. The house was a bit dark, maybe for the clouds and rain outside. The wifi did not quite reach our apartment but this is something they are working on. very difficult to find; I plan on creating a youtube video of how to get there; need to call ahead, there are only a few units, so there is no round-the-clock office open; recommend driving to impruneta and taking bus to florence. Grout around kitchen sink definitely needs replacing. Apparently the single beds in our apartment were a little uncomfortable, maybe better for children than adults. The double bed was very comfortable though. It was difficult to find using google maps. The whole place is some what run down. There is no Italian experience as you are totally left alone with no interaction. If you are not looking for an Italian experience and can see passed the run down environment it can be a great place to stay. When it is cold outside, inside it is very uncomfortable - cold and humid. The rooms are not so clean as You may expect, not enough cutlery in the kitchen. The inner yard is used as passageway to the parking - it is an issue if You have small kids. We were a group of eight people sharing the four bedroom apartment and there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. No shop within walking distance. Better description of public transport to reach apartment.
