  Superb place to stay. Extremely nice and helpful staff. It is a nice and small hotel so you feel like at home. Superb fresh, italian sweets for breakfast in your own room. Excellent location - we were able to travel by bus from the airport, and it is a pleasant walk to the historic centre and waterside. Comfortable room and lovely shower room.   Worrying criticisms posted here by others proved largely irrelevant: it is old, in fact a handsome 19th century quayside palazzo, but my budget single turned out to be an elegant suite-sized room with large modern bathroom and a view over the harbour. Very helful staff and brilliant view. Handy to restaurants, easy to get ferries. Just loved our stay, one of the best hotels we have stayed in because of the ambionce and grandness of the furnishings especially the size of the rooms which were double the size of a normal hotel room.
