  We arrived at the hotel apartment around 6.30pm, an hour or so later than expected. I called the number of the hotel and a lady came to open up for us. She was very helpful and very pleasant and really couldn't do enough. It is very homely, the apartments were extremely spacious. She showed us 2 apartmen - Wonderful place with fantastic ambiance. Location is fantastic - 5 minutes on foot from 2 towers, lot of restaurants around. Our number was well-designed, with beautiful antique bureau and table and had (apart from the main window) - a little round nice window that made the ambiance in our room really magical! 2 beds were comfortable. Also close to the walls for access to parking, and access, etc. Excellent help from the owners/staff, who spoke really good English. - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless.   We stayed 3 nights at San Petronio Vecchio, and it was a perfect base for exploring Bologna as most areas were within walkingdistance. The room and bathroom were elegantly decorated, and it was kept spotlessly cleen. There was also a minibar. Elisabetta, the owner, is a really pleasant and service - Clean and comfortable rooms in great location - easy walking distance to all the sights. Very friendly and helpful owner - even made us tasty homemade brownies and brought in a big bowl of fresh fruit! Would highly recommend to friends and family.
