Miralago has an excellent location on the lake with perfect rooms facing the lake directly (if you visit then ask for those rooms). Cernobbio is just a couple of minutes by the boat or driving to center of Como, the boat stop is just infront of the hotel. Also the hotel has a nice bar just infront of it "Harry's bar".

We were staying in Milan and decided last minute to visit Como so booked this place the night before driving out. We arrived too early to check in but the lady on reception was very pleasant and gave us some suggestions of what to do in the meantime. The staff were courteous and helpful, even to the point of retrieving a lost cardigan from the Villa Carlotta and posting it on. We loved everything about Hotel Vapore! The room itself was simple and clean, with a perfect 180 degree view of the lake. We ate dinner at the lakeside hotel restaurant 3 out of 4 nights and the food was delicious. The town Torno is quaint and does not feel touristy like some other areas of the Lake Como region, and easily accessible by ferry and bus. We would definitely visit again.
