Accommodation and the surrounding remain in very good condition - appartement, pool, garden. The owner looks after it very carefully. On walking out of our front door each day we were treated to a fantastic view of Assisi on the hill above us, ten minutes uphill walk or a short bus ride away. At night it was like looking at a fairy land of lights. Mario and his wife were so helpful, he even gave us a bottle of his home made wine and cakes and biscuits on arrival. This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, not only for exploring Assisi but other towns in Umb - Very nice host family. Very kind welcoming. Beautiful view of Assisi. Easy to follow, beautiful surrounding path to town (be aware it’s uphill). We were greeted with chocolate and cake. We were offered fresh vegetables from their garden, delicious fresh eggs. We missed the bus stop, we were picked up in town. We were brought to train station. Dear Family, my friend and I are grateful for all your help. We had a very nice stay in your place. Could have been longer.

  Excellent location close to the center of Assisi and close to the impressive St Francis church. We stayed 4 nights and we liked it. Easy walking to the center with many good restaurants. We had a deluxe room with a view to the valley, which was fantastic. Breakfast was good with a good choice of products. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, therefore no comments - It was an amazing experience staying at Giotto Hotel and Spa just minutes from St. Francis' Basilica. The staff and facilities at Giotto were terrific. The views from our room looking out over the hillside city of Assissi and the plain below are unforgettable. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel and it was exceptional and also unforgettable. Our waiter was terrific. Perfect in every way!!!

  We arrived by taxi from the train station to a very friendly and welcoming greeting on a hot afternoon. The pool was wonderfully refreshing. As we were on foot the manager kindly drove us to Assisi where we spent a wonderful day and then we walked back to the hotel - all downhill - and then enjoyed another swim in the afternoon.
