We are regular visitors to Dublin and always stay at the Roxford Lodge. The staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble...even arriving early in the morning. Tea and coffee is available all day. And the breakfast is something else. There is secure car parking. The hotel is very convenient for the city centre, the RDS, the O2 and the Bord Gais Theatre. Great location only a couple of kms from dublin's city centre yet set in a peaceful and quiet street in a lovely old building overlooking a garden out the back. Rooms were small yet cosy and very comfortable. Wifi worked in the rooms fine and free parking was very convenient. The breakfasts were lovely and the staff very friendly. The room had a lovely view of the Liffey.
The beds were comfy and the rooms cleaned each day.
The manager helped us with our luggage, as did the breakfast staff when we were leaving. Ten out of ten for the staff - they were great.
The hotel is close to the city, we walked to O'Connell St and Temple Bar, easy walk and very safe.
The Hop On Hop Off bus went straight past the hotel (the quayside bus).

as i was doing the marathon, i asked if i could check out a little later, as i needed a shower afterwards. they kept it on for me, were very nice and didnt charge me any extra - supherb service! - Very central. We were staying for the marathon weekend and it's perfectly placed close to the start and finish! Nice rooms, friendly staff.
