Breagagh B&B was well-run and having a first floor room meant we did not have to lug our luggage upstairs. Breakfast room was pleasant and food was good. Host was helpful for directions and dining in Kilkenny. The price was accurate for what was provided. The host and hostess were very pleasant. The room was comfortable but small for 3 people. The breakfast was very good.
todos opiniões » We were the only guests on the night we stayed. Very accommoding to us and even prepared breakfast a little early because we had to get back to Dublin. The owner was very friendly and the place was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice and overall we had a very pleasant stay. Rosalee was very accomodating, very helpful with plans, and the place was well kept and clean. Breakfast was also very good. Lovely lady running the B&B so friendly and was very accommodating and always willing to help. Will definitely go back!. Very caring and friendly service. Beautiful place. Breakfast Taxi options. Large room. The tea when we arrived. Directions to reach the B&B were confusing since an identical street name was nearby. Getting into Kilkenny was not easy even with a GPS. The b&b was difficult to find as there are 2 Maiden Lanes within about 1 km, and our Garmin didn't find the second one! There is a sign on the main road, but it was somewhat hidden by construction work and signs. Breakfast order went wrong but we didn't mind really. We asked for more toast but never got any. The room shoot be heated when it was booked well in advance. Bit further from town center than I thought, but that was me and inability to judge distances on a map. The bathroom door didn't close properly - you had to force it shut which was annoying. Road Construction And Could Hear Road Traffic. While you could walk to the city center it is a bit of a long walk. Our room was small - others looked larger. Found the house to be a bit cold. Stayed in a lot of b&Bs in Ireland and Scotland and this was our least liked. Pretty old by other b & B standards. Could do with some updating. Would go back to Kilkenny but would choose a closer accomodation. No heat. Noise from nearby main road. Uncomfortably small room for first night. Petty rules re washing smalls in bathroom and eating on room etc. Wifi only available in common area. No tea and coffee making facilities either in room or guest Lounge. The photo doesn't look like the reality it's old and decorated with no taste (even seem dirty due to the old and used materials) - the bathroom is so neglected, even the towels seemed cheap It's next to the road, so don't wait for a nice view It's the only B&B we went where there was no kettle to do a tea or a coffee the price is shoking- it doesn't worth nore than 70 € for me.
