Jane, the hostess, is wonderful and helpful. The food is lovely. Our needs were met, but there was never a sense of intrusion on our privacy. Our son loved playing with Jane's two small, very friendly and well mannered dogs. The dogs are not at all obtrusive for those who may not like dogs, but for those of us who have left their canine friends at home, these two are good "comfort dogs". Heather Lodge has a spectacular view.
todos opiniões » Everything about Heather Lodge was fantastic. Jane, the owner, and her family are just incredible people. The lodge was simply great and the best experience was that checking in and out was based on trust. Of course breakfast was wonderful and the view of the lake from our family room a bonus. We will be happy to return the someday when we visit again. Jane is a fantastic host and makes you feel really welcome. Comfortable room with very comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Games room for kids. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice and Jane's scones are delicious! Lovely view of lake and mountains from our room.Would highly recommend this B+B. Perfect location to explore Conemara and part of Co Mayo; lovely house; cosy, very comfortable and clean rooms and the perfect host you could imagine making you feel at home and providing advise about places to visits and things to do; rich and tasty breakfast. I'm sure we'll go back again. Very friendly reception by Jane who also has great ideas for local visits. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious!. Very welcome. Interesting information on local history in the room. Lovely view. i liked that it was accessible to different parts of Galway with many places of interest. Jane was very friendly and helpful. The turn into the driveway is a bit tight, especially for those of us unaccustomed to driving on the left side of the road. Fitting between the stone columns was a bit like threading a needle. I am a light sleeper and it is on a main road so there was traffic noise until late and started early, but my husband and daughter slept fine. Nothing. A little way out of Clifden, not clear from advert. Would help if bus details to ferry were made available as this could be a selling point on the way to popular Inishbofin Island. Plastic cover sheet on the mattress.
