I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Ashbourne :) extremely comfortable,homely,warm and relaxing. The staff were friendly,approachable,interacting well with all customers. I would definately stay there again if I had dealings in Dublin as its very assessible:) I will be recommending to my friends. It was a lovely hotel with staff who couldn't do enough for you it was reasonably priced local to where we wanted to be I will be visiting again soon I hope.
todos opiniões » One gripe. Towels smelt of grease like they had come out of a chip shop. Not very pleasant. Spoiled what was otherwise an enjoyable stay. wonderful friendly staff, lovely homely bar and loft resturant staff great and food beautiful, will definetly call again. ideal for purpose......attending function locally.....good breakfast....clean & comfortable. enjoyed weekend very much people very helpfull and very friendly nice part of ireland. room and location excellent and exceeded expectations for price. Handy too that the bus too and from the airport stops almost outside. Nice large room on the ground floor overlooking the car-park at the rear which was very quiet. Location, room was a decent size. room & bathroom A bit "bijou".....compact but functional.... nothing. Restaurent food over cooked. The fire alarm went off at about 3.30 false alarm. Frighten the life out of us and the room next door had children and unfortunately it woke them and they took a while to settle down. Nothing. Nothing. not staying longer. Tv is old not vey good quality, water overflows sink when turning tap (stayed twice now. Maybe third time I will stay dry). Have no complaints. We had to ask for our radiator to be turned on (the knob was broken) as the room was cold when we checked in. Unfortunately, because we couldn't then adjust the temp, we boiled alive for 3 nights!! The shower room could do with sprucing up as the shower door was split and the tiles are very mouldy. decor a bit drab.very basic hotel.side entrance to hotel flooded after rain. speed ramps very severe. Room 102, shower soap dispenser had soap but wouldn't dispense properly. It said there was a residents bar and when we tried to get a drink at 1.00am we couldn't. It was quite annoying . The room was also very warm and we could not turn the heating off as radiator was broke. Impersonal check in, cold room, really bad pumbing with a scalding/freezing shower and a handbasin tap that shot water out & all over the floor. The hair dryer nor the remote control did not work.
