The location is very good as it is very close to the shops, church, grocery and iceland excursions terminal and main office. We rented the studio apartment for a week. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.
