  The rooms were bright and clean and the hotel upgraded us to a Junior Suite because it was our wedding. They had some chocolate strawberries waiting for us in the room. What a nice touch :) The staff was very helpful with any questions and they held our baggages at reception before we were able to check in. They were able to check us in early. Tha - The Radisson Blu 1919 is centrally located in downtown Reykjavik -- couldn't ask for a better location. Just a block away from the pedestrian area, and from the bus stop. The staff were always helpful and friendly in every way possible. Always. The rooms were very clean, with ample space. The breakfast buffet was really outstanding -- plenty of wonderful variety from which to choose. We felt very welcomed at all times here. That means a lot to us as travelers.   Hotel has been re-done recently and has an impressive lobby (with free internet pc's available). The rooms are decorated very well and there is a good information book in your room. The duvets are divine!! Staff are very friendly and efficient in booking the flybus back to airport - Very positive staff. Impressed by the signs up one day that the street lights would be off and an upper floor room available for potential viewing of the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, cloud cover did not cooperate. Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife.
