O que as pessoas dizem
A tremendous place. Most of you probably haven't ever slept in a place like this - the place could be a city attraction itself. The design is unique and even the shape of the building is unusual. Inside there is a peaceful, green courtyard, perfect for nightly staring at the sky, having a sip of wine. The location is perfect - it's a strict centre, just next to the Metro/train/tram/bus stop, in a nice neighbourhood. Downstairs you'll find a vegan bar which we surely recommend, and 20 meters on . todos opiniões »
Very colorful guest house with an original design and a perfect host!
Great location close to the Parliament building and many other sights.
The owner offered us a couple of rooms to choose. He was very attentive and courteous to us. Very cheerful and helpful man! When we were leaving, he kindly ordered a taxi to airport for us, which cost us only 15 EUR (for comparison, another taxi from the airport to Budapest cost 25 EUR).
Rooms are spacious and clean, there is a kitchen with the necessary s.
Location is just perfect. From the airport to the guest house by public transportation is very easy. From Batthyany Ter, a view of the Parliament Building from the other side of the river just capped my stay. The area has lots of restaurants, too. One of it, Pizza Eataliano, closes as late as midnight, I think. As the name suggests, it's a guest house so don't expect a reception area and daily cleaning. The owner lives in one of the rooms there so it would be best to inform him for late arrival.
It`s easy to find address of the building but entrance is not very visible because there is no hostel sign so I recommend first to go in nearby Vegetarian restaurant and they will call hostel owner for you. Owner is very friendly and willing to help. I was in studio apartment which is 50 m away from main building but I got notification from hostel so I only had to pick up my key in the main building and owner showed me location of my apartment. Apartment is very comfortable, has enough space fo.
We absolutely LOVED our stay in the Antique Guest House. The owner was extremely nice and helpfull! Although he was very busy, he always made time to help everyone with whatever questions or requests they had. Apart from the nice staff and the excellent location, the guesthouse has a beautiful patio, an artistic oasis where you can relax after a long day in enchanting Budapest. In short: 10/10!.
Perfect location in center, friendly owner, external apartment in block of flats with simple retro equipment - children-resistant, clean, comfortable. I recommend nearby Eden Restaurant (nevertheless we are not vegeterians, but meal was really great), Nagy Palacsintazoja at Batthyany tér (24h open, cheap and cosily). Troublefree wifi.
Good position, all you may need at a step apart (public transportation, shops, pubs) and the inner part of Buda fortress can be reached by a 10 min walk. Great view on Danube and Parliament from the square in front of the appartement. Friendly operators, a place worth to return.
Such a lovely vibe. We had the family room for 5 people and it was all very quirky cool, we felt very much at home. The toilets and showers were clean. The owner or staff member Bolash (sorry if this is spelt wrong!) was such a lovely man and very accomodating. Lovely!.
Great owner. A very fun person. The house looks great, unique styling and is 2-5minutes from the river bank, from where you can see the parliament palace. Great views and great place. From the deal I got, great value for money.
A very romantic, Budapest-like place. Very good location and exceptionally nice host. But the building and how it has been fixed up is really remarkable, enjoyable and comfortable feeling. A great place to stay!.
The staff, specially the owner, were very kind and very helpful!! This is always a plus when you are travelling around, discovering a city, and need good hints and information.
Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated and social place to stay, in a lovely part of Budapest, close to nearly everything!.
Nice decoration in the house, very close to supermarket and metro, friendly owner, kitchen with all accessories.
Good people around, friendly staff. What more do you need to stay in the most romantic city?.
We liked everything there: it was clean, calm, very close to the center.
we could use the bikes in the hostel
the staff was very kind.
Nice location, next to metrostation. Friendly owner.
Very friendly staff and a wonderful location.
Everything.
The place is more like a hostel than a hotel. Charming and definitely not a typical hotel. Great location - a 20-minute walk to the fortress and the Parliament. The owner is kind and helpful. We booked an apartment which is separate and some distance away from the hotel. Unfortunately, due to some technical issues, we had to stay at a similar room in the main building. As a compensation we received a 20% discount in addition to a late check-out free of charge. .
The place is suitable for artist.
Just as some of the other reviewers said, there is a morning merchandise reception to the supermarket which is noisy. The bells of the nearby church also made much noise. They can disturb your sleep. Nevertheless, given all the advantages, I consider it a minor disconvenience.
Getting to the loft bed takes a while for me to master. It's sturdy and all but the steps going up may be challenging for some.
Some homeless arround, but location is safe also after dark.
The kitchen might have been more tidy and equipped. OK the state is - at least partly up to the guests /users.
2 friends of mine rented a separate 2 person room and the bed was on its own platform with a long ladder they had to use to climb up to the bed. However, they told friendly Bolash who then moved them to another lovely 2 person room - so all perfect really!.
Slim chances for free parking.
Our room was facing the street and so it was a bit noisy, specially during the morning because of the workers of a big warehouse.
Noisy, no TV.
smaller room then expected.
Our studio was accros a small distribution office, they started at 6 (in het morning) with delivering the goods. And that made a lot of noise.
No clothes hanging facility in room.
It is not the cleanest and tidiest place I have seen. In fact, there is no reception and staff to check you in. The smell of food coming from the restaurant kitchen (open to the inner yard of the hotel) is rather strong.
Curtains did not close, dont take any cards, v poor value.
