It's hard to write a review about a hotel where everything has been said, but here goes. Firstly it was quite hard to find, good signage through the town but the last sign up to the hotel is missing, so we drove past, and the drive itself is quite steep, don't attempt it in a sports car. Then the welcome by Marina, genuine, friendly and truely welcoming. The room was, well, stunning, the view, cleanliness and quality of fixtures and fittings worthy of a five star hotel, did I mention the view? .

We could not fault the staff and the owners who were hands on all hours of the day and night, they were so friendly and made sure our whole stay was enjoyable . The food was delicious , the chef came to your table and personally discussed the meals with you . The hotel feel is of being very stylish , the attention to detail perfect but at all times it felt like home. I cannot thank the owners and staff enough for a wonderful s. It was a great surprise finding a 5 stars hotel which officially is rated as a 3 stars hotel. Great view of the valley! The rooms are very clean and they have a daily cleaning service which we liked a lot! The owners are incredible people: always helping you with stories about the city, directions to other sites to see, great friends! We had a room with a view of the valley which made our day every day!!! The breakfast was delicious! We ate every morning in the dinning hall which had a huge v. -The hotel owner couple. -Staff -Breakfast -Dinner -Price -Greek hospitality The Phillippeio hotel is very clean, comfortable, well located on a top of hill and looking at a valley. Travellers who wants be at countryside rather than a city, but still want to be very close to cities may prefer this hotel as it is located between Kavala and Drama. I should also mention very diversified and rich and served to your table. The dinner is equally more than satisfying. The staff are very kind and h. Room and bathroom was excellent and very clean and modern. The view (once the mist lifted) was fantastic and you could see the plain in front ringed by hills and mountains. Breakfast and the food quality in general was very good and not outlandishly expensive.Whilst breakfast was excellent there was simply too much to eat. The staff and owners were very friendly. We used the hotel as base to explore Ancient Filippi which was close by and also to visit Kavala ,island of Thassos and a nearby set . One of the best hotel we have visited.Very clean, warm , quiet. The personnel really helpful, Honestly caring and warm. The morning view (especially) was fantastic.We have two little kids with us and everyone there helped us with their food etc.Finaly the breakfast is SUPER with local home made products big portions and enormous variety. The location is convinient for a big amount of activities such as visiting "Philipous" or the "Aggitis Cave" or just visit the winerys of "Pavlidis" "Lazaridis". This hotel is the best we ever stayed in Greece. This hotel should really be ranked as a 5 star hotel. Everything was perfect ....excellent .... and adorable. He explained us everything about the hotel as we arrived. He personally engage with each guest. Breakfast was excellent. He served a variety of home-made jam for breakfast. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with a great valley view and also mountain view too... Hotel is very closed to ancient ruins of Fillipio. I recommend this hotel to all of my friends to visit this hotel and its restaurant for dinner. Wifi is good. Location is closed also to. The hotel has an extraordinary vue and it looks like an ancint fortress. The accomodation is far beyond 3 stars, last generation elevators and electronic systems. Very clean, when you come back from the beach in the evening you find new towels every day and the room tidy up. The owner, his family and the personnel make you feel like home. Breakfast is awesome, traditional, natural and plenty. Also, if you choose to eat at their restaurant, you won't be sorry, the mnu is a la carte and the servi. Everything! In general a truly relaxing, wonderful experience, the best value for money, would go again and again. The guests of Philippeio Hotel will be provided with comfort, relaxation and delicious food. The hotel is a great point for exploring historical sites, as well Kavala and Drama towns. The hotel owner, Mr. Germanidis, and his staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Do not miss Philippeio's unique breakfast consisting of local homemade delicacies. I recommend this hotel for its great value of hospitality and uniqueness. There feel at home and a friend, not a client.They will show you all the sights and give you information about the various types of walking, riding, hiking, we are very impressed. Will rest there again. The food is gourmet-style light, and lacking the typical Greek dishes that little disappointing, but I advise everyone to try panakotta the artist - chef. The hotel is very nice decoratet , they paid attention to all dedailes, very clean , very good breakfast and the owners are very nice , very friendly and hospitables . A place always to remember as an amazing experience . We like everything ,especially the staff, they are really a wonderful family and make you feel in heaven at an affordable price. The location was beautiful and convenient. The staff were superb...a family run business. The food was well prepared, delicious and attractively served. excellent hospitality, the owner spent over one hour with us, telling about the place and it's magnificent history. A litle too far from the beach and the access path a bit complicated, but when you arrive at the hotel, you forget about the bad parts. The only complaints I have are involving accessibility. The wet room shower really needs a grab bar and a folding seat. We used an outdoor chair which worked but wasn't ideal. The other detail, common to many accessible rooms is the very low bed. If a toilet needs to be higher for a disabled person to use it, the bed ought to be at least a little higher as well----10 cm would have made a huge difference. There was nothing I didn't like!. No negatives!.
