  What drew us to this hotel was its location and price. Honestly, we were a bit scared that it may be a little rough since the price was lower than any we have stayed in Europe and because there were no reviews to read about! So we took a risk, and it turned out wonderful. The owner was so friendly and the apartment was so clean! I value cleanlines... o que as pessoas dizem » s, and this was impeccable. There was a living room, bathroom, extra room (would be great if we had kids), kitchen, and a balcony with great views. Al - Sonja, the host, is a remarkable lady, very kind, attentive and helpful. She picked us up from the train station in Fussen and dropped us of there. The real apartment looks much better than seen from the photos. We had a very good time there, highly recommended.

  My stay in the hotel was excellent and I liked everything from theappartment to the breakfast variety and the good food in the resturant.I am a frequent traveller and I went in many hotels around Europe but Ithink the Helmerhof is one of the best I stayed in. - Great breakfast, pleasant roomy accommodation, helpful staff.   The family that runs this hotel is so nice. We didn't feel like we were staying at a hotel but someones home, we will be staying here again. Plus some of the rooms have amazing views of the castles and they are breath taking!   I worked here in the early 80's and it was one of the best places i have ever visited, i met some great people and fell in love with Germany. it looks like it has been modernised since I worked there.
