Location is great, right next to the castle (316 stairs away), located in altstadt and Next to the S-bahn. Room had an amazing view of the mountain with the philosophers weg, and was right next to the river. Our Room was spacious and nicely decorated. This hotel is attached to a historic brewery. The interior is based on the age. The breakfast buffet is great. The hotel offers a private parking in a parking garage for about 10-12 cars. The location in the center of Heidelberg is simply perfect.

Excellent location that is close to everything including the castle. Rooms exactly as advertised. Very comfortable beds. On a small side street, but public parking within 5mins walking distance. All was wonderful. The restaurant is fully booked during the visit. Layout of floors very strange. Had to go up a floor and and down stairs to get to room. Very odd. Breakfast was a bit rushed and staff kept taking plates away as soon as you put them down - it's not the relaxing start of the day one would imagine. Breakfast was not included. We've each paid 10 Euros for it, but yoghurt was expired. The staffs (waitress and reception) didn't even apologise for it. Pillows. Couldn't get wifi in guest room and common area was the restaurant / beir garden. Breakfast too expensive. Wifi sucked. Sounds a bit churlish, but it didn't really come across as anything special, nothing like on the website. Room was fine, but nothing unique. This place is a con. The pictures give a false impression - our room and bathroom were small and very plastic - not quality. The food was terrible - over cooked, over priced and over portioned. Staff were aloof and cool - be warned: this is a tourist trap!.
