The hospitality and friendliness of the family who run this hotel. Good food and wine. Excellent value. We arrived late at 9:15 pm after a long days ride and they cooked us a meal. Location - right on the Mosel River, and our room overlooked the river. The owner speaks perfect English and was most gracious. Their restaurant was also very good, both for breakfast and an evening meal. -

The owners are very helpful, the indoors pool is quite nice (try jacuzzi-like thing, very funny :), our appartment was really comfortable and very clean, the view from the window fascinating (vineyards on the high slope over the Mosel river), nice promenade on the Mosel river and hiking trails just outside the door. Very good! Do not miss Dax winestube and Mosela schinkenstube and the bakerei just in front of the latter.
