The house was built about 1850. It has been owned by Sophie’s family for 50 years. It is still a family home to which their family return at Christmas, adapted a little to accept a few guests. It is a house with a strong personality, ancient fittings and lovely creaking board floors and ceilings. Hervé is a professional photographer and his work decorates the walls. Sophie collects china, glass and things that furnish the house as a home.

Highlight of French holiday. Incredible, authentic stay in a beautiful family home with exceptional hosts. Warmly welcomed by roaring fire and homely dinner on unusually wet and cold Summer evening. Gorgeous gardens and grounds. Highly recommended. Severac-le-Chateau is also worthy of visit.
Friendly and welcoming proprietor. La Singuluiere is very 'different'; furnished in an 'artistic' fashion as well being comfortable and well equipped. Guests would be foolish not to book to optional evening meal; it was a culinary delight. Thoroughly recommended.
Lovely, lovely room with many special touches! Breakfast was wonderful; I wish we had opted to take the evening meal with our hosts the night before. We will definitely return!.
