Everything: the river Sioule running past the converted mill; the wonderful breakfast (especially the little cakes, freshly made that morning); very friendly owners; the location, near some great hiking in the Auvergne.
Also, lots of nice details in the room and the rest of the building - Carole clearly has a good eye for detail. -

We loved the serenity of the property and the hosts were fabulous. They made us feel comfortable and were gracious and friendly. You can tell by all the nice little touches that they genuinely care about their guests. -

Beautiful comfortable rooms with high quality fitments and facilities. Jacco and Cees made us and other guests extremely welcome and the evening gastronomic meal cooked by Jacco was a delight. We couldn't have wished for a nicer hotel on our stop-over to the South of France. We received a lovely warm welcome even though we arrived extremely late in the evening. The room was fantastic. The décor was very modern and the shower was amazing! Breakfast was great also. The best coffee I had during my whole week in France. We would definitely stay here again.

It was fun to spend a night at a country Château. The building has some neat features such as the library (which was designed to look like the inside of a crusades tent), the basement pool, and the winding stone staircases that make you feel like you're in a medieval castle.
