I was pleased with my stay in the Hotel Bristol. The staff we're professional, friendly and English-speaking. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and good value for money. Although Breakfast was not included in the room rate I booked, it was only €7, and comprised varied pleasant continental options. The location very convenient for the Centre Pompidou, and only a short walk from the city centre. I noticed no noise from the nearby train station. I really appreciated the free cancellation option at this hotel - I changed my plans at late notice without a penalty. Decent sized room. Great location - basically opposite the train station, without being in a dodgy area. Short walk to the town centre/ cathedral.
Opposite the railway station, close to town, no traffic noise (although the station approach was closed during my stay) friendly and helpful staff and a relatively cheap stay too.
Staff was very friendly. Receptionist is very pleasant and polite. Double room even had a big closet, which was surprising for a budget price. Great place to live to visit Metz.

The whole city - I mean WHOLE city is in one big mess so the place is very noisy. In summer the single room of mine was impossible to be kept with shut windows so one must chose - to die with hot or with noise. As for summer, without air conditioning it was nearly impossible to survive there.

very very dirty!!! the sheets were not clean and we found sperm on our blankets and pubic hair!! the sheets also smelt like fish!!! it was disgusting!!!.
