This was a very nice small, family run hotel in a great location just behind the Avenue de Champagne. It is a traditional, large old house with 7 bedrooms. When we went down for breakfast there was no table available in the dining room so we had to wait in the lounge. This was because the majority of the other guests were part of one party so had all gone to breakfast at the same time, this probably would not normally happen. The owners bought in an extra table for us and put it in the corner.
todos opiniões » This is a lovely, characterful B&B in an unpromising 'suburb' of Epernay. On approaching though, the beautiful house appears behind the tall iron gates and any misgivings disappear. The welcome was friendly and you realise that this is a real, honest, old fashioned B&B with the owner, sitting sagely in her office off the main hallway. The house feels warm and homely and is full of art and wonderful objects - and the bedroom don't disappoint either. The location is great for exploring th. My friend and I stayed in a twin room on the top floor of this beautiful residence. The accommodation was simple but just perfect for what we needed - a bed and shower facilitating our visit to Moët & Chandon. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable, although we were not able to get our suitcases up the many flights of stairs to our room. Breakfast was a highlight. A wide selection of breads, pastries, cereal, fruit and yoghurt, as well as eggs to order. Just superb!!. Quiet location near the town centre. Attractive old building. Good comfortable rooms with individual character. Centre of town restaurants within a few minutes walk for evening meal.Good breakfast with continental cheese , ham, and hot bacon and various eggs plus fresh breads and pastries served by helpful staff. Secure on site parking in gated forecourt. We only had one night here and wished we could have stayed longer. It was a beautiful old house set in beautiful gardens but within walking distance of Centre Ville and Ave de Champagne. It also had secure on site parking. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The Host is very helpful and speaks good English. The old, grand, classic house that was typical of the region. Very well kept, plenty of rooms to enjoy beyond the bedroom we had booked. The surrounding gardens on the property were also beautiful and well maintained which we were able to use as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well furnished with good bathroom including shower. Breakfast was top class with fresh ingriedents and freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Secure parking was a bonus. We will be eturning next year. What a great little hotel. Staff were brilliant & totally helpful, bedroom was perfect & hotel interior is really quirky with lots of character. Very helpful manager who helped my wife carry her luggage to our room on top floor. Tasteful decorated room and well heated. It is a very charming place to stay in Epernay. Parking in front of the house. Very good breakfast! Equipment in the rooms is a mixture of everything but we can recommend this small hotel!. The only criticism of the accommodation was that there was no shower curtain over the bath so the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor. No elevator. Getting luggage to rooms on upper floors. Nothing!. Baths towels that we were provided with were ancient and as absorbant as plastic wrapping. Nothing. Overpowering cleaning fluid smell in bedroom - too strong. Nothing. More expensive than we would normally go for, but made a nice treat for the first night of our honeymoon. The Hotel was fine but we were not sure of the surroundings and struggled to find somewhere to eat in the evening. The Champagne visit we had to Mercier was brilliant the Avenue De Champagne was fantastic. no German TV Programm Chanel 1 or 2 only privat soap chanels. Nothing. Somewhat small double bed. Nothing at all. It was different to most other Hotels in a nice way. Poor television selection No air con. nothing. I had scheduled two rooms, and ended up with the higher price room. Since we were there only to sleep, should have just kept the lower price room. When we arrived, which was about one hour later than the earliest check- in time, we found the hotel to be closed, and I couldn't enter the parking area, nor the hotel. I phoned the hotel, and got the message that they were closed for one hour, and I had to come back in about an hour. Not in accordance with given information. Few facilities Expensive for 3 star. The room was not very large. The towels were old and worn. Limited toiletries despite an old card in the bathroom describing them as special. Table lamp did not work. Expensive for what one got. Breakfast was extra so we did not eat it there. If you have luggage do not book the top floor rooms . It is a killer. Very expensive for the facilities. Decoration fussy. Location OK but a very dark approach up side streets. Breakfast at €15 each, over and above €175 for the room, a bridge too far. No shower curtain so bathroom very difficult- again, especially for the price.
