transportation, although walking is the best mode of travelling for
anyone staying in this centuries old boutique town & village. A few

The receptionists at this small hotel were. todos opiniões
Great location and staff. The hotel is a 2 star hotel, so I didn't expect too much. The price was right. My room was basic with a TV and my own bathroom. Stayed one night to explore Aix-en-Provence and wasn't intending on spending much time in my room. The wireless internet worked well. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station, but not what I would consider walkable from the bus station. The hotel is on a main street, but in the winter, I didn't open the windows so my room wa.
Immediately that I walked into La Caravelle I had a pleasant feeling and felt happy. Just because, as a single girl, I wanted somewhere safe, clean, friendly. Reception staff were always helpful, recommending restaurants, booking taxi's, circling places on the map to visit. Location perfect, just 2 mins around the corner, cafes, cocktails, fromageries... and into the heart of Aix. The entrance was bright and fresh and my room (29) on the fourth floor was a large single with window opening out .
I liked so much about this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and
helpful. Lovely, lovely people. The location was incredibly convenient
and within walking distance to everything in Aix-en-Provence. The room
was nice and comfortable. The price was very reasonable (it was this and
the location that initially sold it to me on the Internet). And the
whole place smelled of lavender. I'd never consider staying anywhere
else in Aix-en-Provence. It's an excellent hotel with a lovely
atmosphere to i.
Evebody was very nice. When it was not possible to get som cold water to drink, they gave a bottle of water for free. Very nice service.
I hade the toilette in the corridor but it was never a problem for me to go there, aven in the Night. The door is just near the room.
Everything is new renovated and fresh.
I will absolutly come back if I have to be in Aix!.
We really enjoyed our stay there. Room is spacious with a nice balcony view. Wifi works well in the room, staff is cool and very helpful! Location is very convinient to streets and restaurants in old town. We will come back!.
All staff was excellent, super friendly and professional. Price is very fair for the property, room was very clean. I would say it can easily be at a 3 star level. 2 to 3 minutes walk from the ideal center of the old town.
Hotel was well located for all major tourist sites and within walking distance to Central Station, Reception was extremely welcoming and helpful, room was comfortable and clean, and hotel had a lovely fresh lavender smell.
I love here. Very comfortable and clean. The staff is so nice for helping.
Location is nice, 10,minutes to the station,5minutes to centre area.
The facilities are quite new and comfort.
- Location (5 minutes walk to Cours Mirabeau, there are also
restaurants, bakery, bar next to the hotel)
- nice design in the room
- helpful recepcionists
- great value for money.
It was very central, clean, and when the windows are closed it was very quiet. There is a nice park near by and it's not far from a number of markets in the centre of town.
It is close to the station, clean and comfortable. The manager gave us a
map with directions to the main sights, stored our luggage and was very
friendly and helpful.
The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the magical city of Aix en Provence. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
the staff were friendly and helpful-Free internet-near to the centre of the town. The back rooms quiet and spacious.Great lavender aroma in the entrance and lift.
the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, and location perfect close to good restaurants and within walking distance to main shops and sights.
The staff were the most helpful and friendly I met in any of the hotels we stayed in. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
friendly staff, nice hotel, clean, excellent location, excellent price / quality ratio; parking near the hotel - paid, but overnight free.
We stay only one night, but everything was good. Great location, clean room and friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money.
good location, close to railway centre station and sightseeing points
friendly staff,
free wifi everywhere in the hotel.
I had a great stay and liked the warmness of the staff and the confort of the room. it was reallyclean too.
Very friendly, they gave us a lot of information of what to do and where to eat in town.
Good location, nice staff, comfortable, good facilitate.
wanna stay next time.
Excellent location, friendly staff, nice rooms design, recently renovated.
Family run hotel with friendly staff. Good value and comfortable.
Lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe space.
A very clean and comfortable hotel, the staff is friendly.
Location, cleanliness, silence, price (55€ for a double).
Friendly and helpful staff, close to centre of old town.
Very nice stuff. Very clean. Close to the city center.
Staff were friendly. Pretty near to the city center.
Staff are professional, very kind and helpful.
Very happy with the hotel in general.
I arrived too early, but the friendly staff gave me another room that was ready, with a free upgrade (I had booked the room with the external WC, but got a normal double room).I could leave the luggage after the check-out.Free Wi-Fi. Good location.Quiet and basic room.Would stay there again.
Great location, very hospitable staff. clean.
Very nice budget hotel , in the process of a stylish refurbishment -
very pleasant staff but not bicycle friendly ! No facilities for storage
. Great location, close to centre of Aix and cours Mirabeau . Air
conditioning in some rooms doesn't work - not ideal in July !!! But
will supply a fan . Breakfast ok but no fruit or muesli/ cereal .
Very nice young lady receptionist.
My room was on the front of the hotel with a small, airy balcony. I did
like that feature at first, but then I saw the garden in the back of
the hotel. Later I learned I could have had a garden view for less
money per night. Noise from the street did not interrupt my rest.
However, next time I will ask for a garden view, even if it doesn't
have a balcony.
If you want fancy this hotel wouldn't be for you.
The only thing I didn't like was having a toilet outside of the room, but I was aware of this potentiality before I booked due to reading another review, so not shocked. I also had difficulty connecting to 'wifi'. Front desk helpful, but I couldn't resolve this. There is a computer at the front reception you can use anytime though so I made use of this.
My shower head was broken so I had to hold it up with one hand to
shower. I assume the cleaners would know about this from cleaning the
shower but it wasn't a big enough deal for me to cause a fuss for
the 2 nights I was there.
Just think that the beakfirst is a french old fashion. No buffet. They come with it for you when you come in the diner room.
No cheese or ham...
Minus for the croissant.. Too heavy, like bread.
But I was very satisfed any way!
Like when I was a child, it was allways a beakfirst like that :).
Nothing. Everything is great.
Bathroom was really very small as we're the bath towels, no room service, maybe we were just unlucky. room very warm as no air conditioning and with window open overnight it was very noisy. Breakfast expensive.
not really, everything is pleasant.
No negatives.
We drove there, and getting to the hotel initially was a nightmare because all the roads are blocked off by electronic bollards. It's the city's fault rather than the hotel's, but we would have appreciated a warning or instructions when we booked.
Parking is problematic... and although we got lucky and got one of the 2 spots outside the hotel, it cost us 12 euros for a simple overnight stay. Not a big deal, and the benefits of the location were well worth it.
Nothing.
upon check in I was advised check out time was 11.30. However I had the cleaner enter my room without knocking at 11.00 and again at 11.15. Besides this intrusion I had a call from reception at 11.20 reminding me that check out was 11.30. The hotel obviously allows smoking in the rooms, as the smell of cigarette smoke in my rom was very unpleasant.
breakfast is not included - extra 9 €, in the shower should be curtain.
didn't offer breakfast.
Maybe the bed a little to small for a couple, 140 cm...
Nothing.
Would have been nice if there had been a hair-dryer included in the room.
It lacks a parking lot or a garage.
Breakfast is lovely but perhaps a tad pricey for what you get.
The street side might be noisy in the morning.
Pleased with everything.
The room on the ground floor a little weird with a second door leading in a backyard.
tiny lift, very old fashion, small room, needs upgrading urgently.
Lack of bicycle storage facilities and information re bicycle
hire . Lack of air conditioning in some rooms . No fruit or
cereal for breakfast.
No parking an expensive to park nearby.
WC for the room was on the landing.
