  Wonderful little house we got to stay in. We arrived 2 1/2 hrs early (my mistake) and they checked to see if our room was clean. The couple returned to say that they put us in the little house in the yard area. My 16yrold son and I loved the little rooms. We were placed on the first floor of the main building, and the flat really had everything we needed. There was no place for the three of us to sit and eat (though there are 4 beds in th flat), but we managed.

  Riia Villa is a very comfortable place to stay. My room was small, but very clean and well maintained. The hostess spoke English and was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, best I've had so far. It is a long way from the bus station though. I would highly recommend taking a local bus. The bus you want is Number 1, on the opposite side of the street. It costs 1 Euro. Get of - The villa is placed in the perfect retreat: a quaint residential area, extremely green and quiet, with beautiful scenery. A walk around the neighbourhood gives you a glimpse of the peaceful life of the dwellers of Tartu. The view is very pretty and the rooms are clean and welcoming, if maybe rather small and simple. The bathroom is impeccably clean and modern. The breakfast is very varied and rich (you have to try the herring and the porridge!). The hosts are very nice and helpful. Out 3-day st

  We visited Tartu before Christmas. There wasn't Christmas market on weekdays so that was disappointment. But our cosy apartment wasn't! There was bit cold inside apartment this time of year but we were using fireplace both on the evenings and mornings. Nice atmosphere and good service as well. Good location, well renovated apartment and friendly service! - I am fond of cleanliness and this place met my expectations all the way. The location, very friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable and most up to date but pleasantly rustic interior made it a wonderful place to stay at. Definitely recommend!

  We liked the location, it was very good! Centre of the town, very close to the university and the museums. Not far from the bus station (900-1000m). Good breakfast. Very clean and snug. We had booked a family suite with two rooms. Very nice and smart planned. It was very nice of the staff to keep in touch with us and meet and greet us upon arrival... o que as pessoas dizem » (we got there around 1 o'clock at night, and the reception usually closes at 8.00 p.m.!!) - Excellent, friendly hotel with great character. We all were very impressed with it. Tartu is also a very attractive town, easy to cover on foot and with excellent restaurants.
