Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

Many places are ease accessible by foot and trams and busses are within walking distance from the hotel.We could walk to many of the tourist attractions.The staff are helpful and caring and nothing is too much effort. Excellent location, few minute walk from old town square. A good price for this location. Room was clean. We enjoyed our stay and this hotel is excellent for a few days stay!

  The most amazing thing was the location. It was in a kind of court with restaurants and nice gift shops... And 30sec away from the old town square. As a female solo traveller... For my first solo trip, this was perfect. I felt really safe and it made my experience really enjoyable. Room was massive and beautiful. Tbh there were 3 double beds - This was a gem of a find - very close to the old town without being caught up in the tourist trap necessarily. Being secluded on a quiet square with a view of the Tyn Church, the nights were very peaceful and the beds were the largest I've ever seen (exceptionally comfy as well).The bathroom had a large shower and bath as well as heated floors - which was a pleasant surprise on a cold autumn morning. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, including in the dining facilities, bowling alley and fitness center. The WiFi had fantastic reception.
