The hotel was in the downtown of calgary... just few blocks and you will be in the shopping district...Also just steps to be in prince island... The area is quit at night...The wireless service was just lunched into the whole hotel... Starbucks is just downstairs.... The stuff are friendly ... I get an upgrade to dulex room free of charge...

The valet parking staff were excellent. We had a very difficult drive and they really spoiled us. It was a pleasant surprise! Having a Starbucks in the hotel is the main reason I stay. Good to have a decent coffee shop. The Keg is also a nice dinner option to be linked to. Bed comfortable and environment pleasing. will stay again. I really liked the hotel, it was one of the best ive stayed in. The price was great. I will definetly recomend it to anyone and everyone wanting to stay in calgary. I will stay there every weekend I come to calgary. I liked the rooms and the customer service. Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff, from check-in to check-out. Delicious food in the restaurant and for room service. Very comfortable bed. Location convenient to downtown shopping and convention centre. Friendly staff who knew their jobs well Nice pool Lovely facilities even though parts of the lobby and car park are being refurbished they have really made an effort to keep this looking as neat as possible. The location was nice and the price was good. Rooms and beds were wonderful. I was grateful that we were placed away from the construction area in the business tower as the room itself was not noisy. The staff were fantastic. I was looked after by Sunjeev? and he was extremely professional, courteous and went out of his way to ensure my time at the Westin was pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you. Staff quickly fixed broken lock on bathroom door. Parking lot issued a ticket (but the hotel took care of it) Downtown location is within a few blocks of park, water, and shopping. Location is perfect for Calgary. Best of all was the food from room service. They really try hard to make a unique experience. We appreciated the room upgrade upon arrival. Staff was sooo incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were well kept and clean. The bed was amazing to sleep on!! Great location and price. Will defiantly be coming back. My daughter had stomachache in the middle of the night, we called the reception and got hot water as well as medicine - very quick and very helpful. Thanks to the staff. The staff was lovely. Every person we ran into was helpful, polite and professional. The sheets in the rooms where crisp and clean. The shower head was lovely. The staff were great, checking out very convenient, facilities were great and the rooms were comfortable and clean. That is mainly what I look for in a hotel. Comfortable beds , freshly remodeled and modern , restaurant in hotel , location - did Not need car could walk to town and restaurants . Excellent service . The most friendly, curtious staff you could wish for. The beds in Queen twin were sooo comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. Thank you Westin!. i like the price it was affordable for our budget and the breakfast was included for us which make a big difference for us, and the breakfast was great. The green initiative is encouraged now a days, however I fear that we will soon be charged extra for having housekeeping services. As a working mother when I stay in a hotel being pampered a little is important. the only concern I have was a couple of faint stains on our sheets and the mattress cover. I could tell they were washed but it just through me off... Bathroom was cramped. Not much vanity space for toiletries. Shower design made it hard to keep the floor outside the shower from getting wet. The wifi was extortionately expensive - most lower star hotels are offering this for free now they wanted $15 This really made me annoyed as most families now travel with lots of tech. The pool was not memorable and a hot tub or steam room would have been appreciated. Notice of the construction would have been appreciated- it was even hard to hear the lady when checking in and having some option for a fuller size vehicle to park-- parking was difficult in the underground lot due to both construction and design of the lot. Trying to find things but I can't think of one negative thing. Sliding pocket door on bathroom was broken and failed to provide bathroom privacy. Parking lot issued a ticket (but the hotel took care of it). The room service was a bit pricey. But you forget it soon when you taste the food. The overwhelming smell of perfume or air freshening in the foyer. The rooms where claustrophobic. Sleeping on a double bed with my husband just about caused a divorce. The sliding door for the bathroom was tough to move and didn't feel private. Parking was not convenient, as our truck could not fit and the staff gave us conflicting information as to where we could park and could not park. There did not seem to know exactly. Think the staff should be more informed when it comes to this as it is a very important aspect of your stay. It was all good. Steak in the Keg was not top Quality , tough bits . Servers in the keg were slutty dressed and needed to have better service more attention to detail. the renovation was a bit scary especially for me to go to the underground parking, by myself, as my husband brian had a stroke and could not walk far.we are from winnipeg never had the opportunity, to use the westin over here its to expensive for my budget. Parking exp expensive but expected. It was a bit pricey, especially the breakfast. Would have been nice to have a microwave for the bedroom also. Food prices were a bit high. It may be a tiny-bit pricey, but the location and comfort really do make up for it. You get what you pay for. Although the room was very quiet, the noise from the corridor was rather excessive in the early hours but that was due to inconsiderate guests and not the fault of the hotel. Television channels were very limited and poor quality. (blurry, volume cutting in and out). Not enough outlets in room. Location of outlets was inconvenient. That was all. No hot tub. Access to the pool was awkward. Didn't have an airport shuttle and was under some extensive renovation. No food in the room which was provided after consultation, how do I re- stock? Bar wasn't open at the weekend. we were told internet was for us free but got charged for it. No fridge in a room - but they can bring it by request. Found out after I booked that another hotel close by offered free parking and free wifi. They Charged me twice on my credit account. The river view is not as beautiful as I thought, since there is another building beside is currently under construction, so... staff confirmed total charges at check in but I was charged a higher amount and the management was unhelpful. Have to pay extra for breakfast, wifi and parking. Room was small. If you have children or dont need to be downtown, better off at Lakeview Signature Inn. If a special occasion or business Westin is ideal. My car been dammage. The room was much too warm, even leaving ac on for hours while we were out. Thermostat glowed, illuminating the room at night. Covered it with a shirt so we could sleep. Only vending machine was in the basement, far away.
