Staff were helpful and knew the area well. I am not the type to recommend everything as supported by other comments, but this was outstanding and I will certainly use this group again in the future.

Good location for overnight stop en route to Dunkirk. Had front room on 2nd floor which was very quiet due to excellent double glazing. Staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Hotel very clean. Staff extremely helpful. Location very handy for Aalst. We were going to a concert in CC de Werf and it was ideal (about a 10 minute walk through the town centre). The breakfast was superb, with every conceivable choice and as much as you could eat. Would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is an attractive, nicely restored mansion that is close to train station ( walk in 15 minutes) and the tram or bus to get to the old city is only a block away. Take tram 4 from the train station if you do not want to walk to the hotel. Get off at the 3rd stop then walk one block.

The reception by the staff was very friendly and informative. The
building was fancy and the rooms are large. The hotel is situated in a
large mansion which used to be a number of things in the past and is
nicely transformed into a (mere) fifteen room accommodation. The king-
sizey bed was excellent and the bathroom was nice.
