a surprise for my mom's birthday and before our arrival I contacted
the hotel to inquire about anything extra they did for birthdays. They
gave me a few options and I eventually chose the bottle of champagne.

Just a block from the train station, it couldn't be easier to get to. The staff was extremely nice - both front desk and breakfast. Staffs are very friendly even they speak little english.

Everything was fine: location is very central, maybe 1 km from the
Palace and also near to other sights. I was living alone in the room for
4 people with toilet and shower. Breakfast was normal for such dormitory
- I wouldn't say poor, but the variety wasn't big. Btw, I would
suggest taking the train to the Gare de Liège-Palais instead of walking
